its my summer vacation…from school and work. funny how i still think of summer as a break between semesters and not seasons. school will always be in my circadian rhythm. the first trip consisted of a flight to san fran, a drive to calistoga for a wedding, back to san fran for frolicking in the sunshine and a hula hoop lesson. a side trip to vega$ was included the next weekend. debauchery. what happens in vegas stays in vegas…or ends up on a bloggie blog blog. the reason for vegas was an unofficial high school classmate reunion. 7 of us. enough for trouble, lots of meat consumed (not by me, i had to deal with fish and other crustaceans, vegas is not very vegan friendly), lots of tequilla and vodka. why oh why does the drink vodka/redbull exist?! i was so hung over i had to change my flight to the next day and tag along to yet another steak house…#3? ugh. i feel gross. but i made it back to san fran safe and sound. missed gay pride, rather avoided it. still too hungover. but recovered enough to shop for a day, pack my stuff and get back to toronto safe and sound. liver in tow.
i worked like crazy for a week then spent a 4 day weekend at the braybrook cottage in muskoka. nice recovery. only to give in to the flu. i’ve been down for a week now. i have to get back to work though. gotta pay off the trip to san fran.
the next one i’m taking, which is too soon for me, is to honolulu for the official reunion with the handful of other classmates showing up. not sure if i want to go now. tickets are pricey. i’ll have to find some massage course to take while i’m there to make it worthwhile. so much work to do. *sigh*
could someone do my US taxes for me too?

happy chinese new year that is…gung hei fat choy…i think that is how its spelled in english. well bren and i went for noodles, i’ve been totally craving it since i read the top asian restaurtants on the cover of now magazine. the chick on the front has a huge bowl of noodles too…yummm. my favorite food. so much so that i have been classified as the mad noodler. bren also did a search for noodles and sex on google…what did he find? a site called "hot noods" yes, noodle porn. how silly.
tried to buy boots today post noodle. no such luck. must not be my year to buy boots or something. bah. so many sales so liitle time and not enough size friggin 8!
i finally stared my own business full time now. i’m renting 2 rooms, one at the carrot common on danforth and chester. nice area, lots of baby boomers and new boomers. very residential and full of baby strollers. the sidewalks are not big enough for them. the other room is at the toronto healing arts center on bloor and christie. so i have the east side and the west side of downtown toronto covered. its kind of slow right now, but thats okay, it gives me time to study and think of new ways to market myself. suggestions are welcomed!
everyone must pay attention to their dreams. i’ve had so many adventures that i wake up exhausted. somehow pot and red wine really make it interesting. and not necessarily having them together. pot dreams are kind of foggy, i have a difficult time remembering them in the morning, but wow i’m i busy! lots of places to go and people to see.
maybe i’ll dream about finding my dream boots. the pair i lost somehow a few years ago, my favorite pair, tall, black, small buckle at the top of the calf and a kick ass zipper that went from the top of the foot to the top of the boot. not too many manufactures do that. its allways the side zipper. i’ve seen only ugly ankle length winter boots with the front zipper so far. someday i’ll find the perfect pair again.

Okay, NYE was almost 2 weeks ago and I’ve only had time now to write about it. Went to a werehouse party (well it was going to be at one, then they moved it to an art gallery) high ceilings, 3 floors, a few smallish spaces to shake your booty and one very large one. Got there with Sher, stood in line just to get in, some sort of snafu with letting people buy tix vs. people with tix. Met up with Elana and her pal Marty who quickly disappeared into the crowd. I felt like I was in raverland again. Lots of big dirty hair and beards, but mostly a clean cut crowd with the colored hair thrown in. Some nice projections on the walls, some colored lights, and kick ass move your body music. Wine or beer were the drinks of choice for the night. While we listened to the music on the 2nd floor all of a sudden everyone yelled something uncomprehensible, those of us in the back of the crowd couldnt figure out why, but then realized "oh that was it, happy new year." wow, that was the most anti-climactic turnover ever! I was bummed out for a few minutes, but was disctracted by the DJ. Isnt taht how it should be? So we went over the lists of who was to play for the rest of the evening and made our way either upstairs or downstairs. A good time was had by all. I remember rolling into bed around 6am after the post-late night shower. Ahhh, hot water makes it all better. Its not so easy dancing on cement floors for 5 hrs.

finally a saturday off! bren and i went to this: http://chariotfestival.com/. the parade is apparently sunday and not saturday like i hoped. big disappointment. but, we ended up going to center island where the festivites were happening. its a hot a huuuuumid day. it looks like rain too. overcast and grey. taking the ferry over was pretty cool, its only 6 bux round trip, takes about 15-20 min. its a whole different world out there i tell ya. a couple of beaches, a few snack bars, bikes and 2-4 person peddle cars.
we finally found the hare krishna tents after a 5 min. walk from the ferries. smack dab in the middle of the island and some regatta races. colorful signs and saris and flowers, and oh my shiva, the longest line for the free vegitarian food!

its humid and hot hot hot in toronto. the radio says its 25C, but it feels like 36C…at 9am! thats about 80 and 93 to those who need to know it in F, not exact but thereabouts. dispite this, i felt like walking around, to work, to the farmers market with my ipod listening to U2. i’ve changed the headphones so i dont look so conspicuous. white is a terrible color. it just gets dirty and brown, so i’m sticking with black.
i have to say that Bono sure can sing it. the passion in his voice makes me melt and sucks me into the mood and feeling deep from my soul. i also wondered how a guy can sing so well and be so into music. i wonder why men rule the music industry and not women. women express emotions more than men. is this why when men express emotions we all swoon and they become popular? when its a woman its commonplace and not as spectacular? maybe. all i know is that it comes from deep in the soul and something happens…
